William Tayari Howard
William Tayari Howard is a professional broadcaster with forty-six years in the profession. His mother was one of the first Black female personalities and producers on radio and continued her career as a “backup” drummer for the Duke Ellington Orchestra.
His father pioneered R & B music over radio beginning in the 1940’s through the 1960’s. Since 1972, he has logged more than 35,000 hours on San Diego radio.
As an entrepreneur, Tayari manages and programs two digital internet stations, kksdjazz.net and kblkradio.com He also mentors 9th through 12th grade students in broadcast media arts and social media platforms, he has been acknowledged by two United States Presidents, George Bush, Jr., and Barack Obama awarded him a “lifetime” achievement award in 2013, for philanthropy and volunteerism.
A native San Diegan, Christy C. Figueroa is a Senior Clerical Assistant for the San Diego Community College District since 1990. Christy enjoys working with a diverse community and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has been involved in faith-based community organizing representing 2nd and 4th jurisdiction congregations under Bishop George Dallas McKinney and is recognized for her strong advocate skills demonstrated at the local, state and national levels of Government Administration on important issues such as Children’s Healthcare Insurance (SCHIP), Universal Healthcare Reform, Banking/ Foreclosure Crisis, Affordable Housing, Closing the Education Gap, Youth Services and Opportunities, Gang and Youth Violence Prevention and Intervention, Community Improvement, Immigration Issues, Fair wages, Job Privatization, Contract Negotiations, Election Campaigns and GOTV, Senior Transportation and Retirement Benefits.

Ron Baxter, a native of Los Angeles California, played basketball for the University of Texas at Austin. He was an integral part of the success of Texas Basketball, winning two conference championships and the NIT. He also received numerous individual honors and was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. During his basketball career he tried out with the Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors, later playing for the Continental Basketball Association’s Reno Bighorns and Louisville Catbirds. Ron manages the Retirement Services Division of the United States Gold and has parlayed his competitive spirit and winning attitude assisting clients in achieving financial freedom through physical precious metals. He is the Coach and General Manager of the ABA, Kyle Stallions and has been selected to coach the ABA Gold, San Diego Floaters. “This is a great opportunity for me to give back on a much higher level than I could have envisioned, I am so excited to be a part of the ABA Gold.”
